Founded by Harmeet Singh, Canada's first Sikh professional tattoo artist.

Harmeet Singh founded Hardwork Tattoos in Brampton as Canada's first Sikh professional tattoo artist. Hardwork Tattoos built its reputation through realism tattoos, portrait tattoos, black-and-grey work, and Punjabi cultural tattoo designs created for clients across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area.

Originally from New Delhi, India, Harmeet Singh entered the tattoo industry in 2016 with a focus on detailed realism, clean shading, and culturally rooted tattoo work. His portfolio includes Sikh warrior tattoos, portrait tattoos, Gurbani tattoos, lion tattoos, sleeve tattoos, and black-and-grey compositions. Hardwork Tattoos records healed tattoo results, follows sterilisation procedures, and maintains artist documentation for every tattoo session. Each tattoo combines placement planning, technical precision, and long-term ink clarity.

"Good tattoos aren't made in an hour. They're made in the years they hold up."

Recognised by Punjabi music, film, and sport — and clients across the GTA.

Studio Health, Safety & Sterilisation

Hardwork Tattoos operates in full compliance with Ontario's Skin Care and Personal Services Hygiene Regulations. Our studio undergoes regular health inspections and maintains standards that exceed industry requirements because your health is never something we compromise on.

01Sterile Equipment

All reusable instruments are sterilised using a certified autoclave. Every piece of equipment is tested with biological indicators and logged to ensure complete sterilisation before use on any client.

02Cross-Contamination Prevention

Our artists follow strict glove-change and hand-hygiene protocols throughout every session. Ink is never double-dipped. All workstations are disinfected between clients using hospital-grade antimicrobials.

03Disposable, Single-Use Items

Every needle, grip, cartridge, and ink cap used at Hardwork Tattoos is single-use only. We open them from a sealed package in front of you and dispose of them safely immediately after your session. No exceptions.

04Surface Protection & Barrier Film

Workstations, tattoo chairs, and all contact surfaces are wrapped in fresh barrier film for each client. This prevents any cross-surface contamination and ensures a visibly clean, hygienic environment every time.

We tattoo the way we'd want our own family tattooed. Ontario Regulation 136/18 sets the legal floor for tattoo and piercing studios across the province. We meet it on every session, every time.

Aftercare

What you do next is half the work.

Every fresh tattoo leaves with Second Skin applied and written instructions. Follow these five rules for the first two weeks.

01 Clean, don't scrub

Remove the bandage as instructed. Wash gently with a fragrance-free cleanser twice a day.

02 No submersion

No swimming, baths, or hot tubs for 2–3 weeks. Showers are fine.

03 Out of direct sun

Keep it covered or shaded for the first month. SPF 30+ once fully healed.

04 Don't pick or scratch

Itching is normal. Picking causes scarring and ink loss — let it flake naturally.

05 Moisturise lightly

Thin layers of fragrance-free lotion only. Oversaturating slows the healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a consultation at Hardwork Tattoos?

During the consultation, the artist discusses your tattoo idea, placement, sizing, tattoo style, session timeline, and estimated pricing. Clients can choose in-studio or virtual consultations before booking a tattoo appointment.
How much does a tattoo cost in Canada?
Tattoo pricing in Canada depends on tattoo size, detailing, placement, shading, and session length. Small tattoos usually start around $60 to $120 CAD, medium tattoos range between $150 and $450 CAD, and large multi-session tattoos cost more based on design complexity and hours required. Hardwork Tattoos provides transparent quotes during consultations.
Which tattoo shop in Brampton creates custom tattoo designs?
Hardwork Tattoos creates fully custom tattoo designs for clients across Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area. The studio specialises in black-and-grey tattoos, realism tattoos, portrait tattoos, fine line tattoos, geometric tattoos, cultural tattoos, and custom sleeve work designed specifically for each client.
Can Hardwork Tattoos cover an old or unwanted tattoo?
Hardwork Tattoos creates cover-up tattoos for faded tattoos, name tattoos, dark ink tattoos, and older tattoo work. Artists assess ink saturation, placement, tattoo age, and skin condition before designing a new tattoo that covers or transforms the existing piece.
How many sessions does a tattoo cover-up require?
Most tattoo cover-ups require one to three sessions, depending on tattoo size, ink density, color saturation, and design complexity. Some darker tattoos benefit from laser fading sessions before the cover-up process begins to create more flexibility for the new design.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
Most tattoos heal on the surface within two to four weeks, while deeper skin layers continue settling for several months. Hardwork Tattoos provides written aftercare instructions covering washing, moisturising, sun protection, healing products, and touch-up recommendations after every tattoo session.
